The bitch is guilty
PHOENIX, AZ — April 22, 2025 — An Arizona jury has reached a verdict in the high-profile murder conspiracy trial of Lori Vallow Daybell, the Idaho woman accused of conspiring with her brother, Alex Cox, to kill her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, in July 2019. The verdict, announced Tuesday afternoon, marks a pivotal moment in a case that has gripped the nation with its chilling details and ties to Daybell’s doomsday religious beliefs.
Daybell, already serving a life sentence in Idaho for the murders of her two youngest children, Joshua "JJ" Vallow and Tylee Ryan, and the conspiracy to kill her fifth husband’s first wife, Tammy Daybell, faced charges in Maricopa County for orchestrating Vallow’s death to collect a $1 million life insurance policy and pursue her relationship with Chad Daybell, her now-husband. Representing herself in court, Daybell pleaded not guilty, arguing the shooting was an act of self-defense during a family dispute.
The trial, which began on March 31, 2025, saw prosecutors present a case built on text messages, GPS data, and witness testimonies, including that of Daybell’s brother, Adam Cox, who testified that he believed his siblings conspired to kill Vallow. Prosecutor Treena Kay described the killing as a “premeditated execution,” pointing to evidence that Vallow was shot twice, with the second shot fired while he was on the ground, undermining claims of self-defense. Daybell, in her closing arguments, maintained that the incident was a “family tragedy,” not a crime, and challenged the state’s evidence.
After two weeks of testimony, the jury began deliberations on Monday, April 21, and reconvened Tuesday morning. The verdict, reached after approximately one hour and 51 minutes of deliberation, was announced in the Maricopa County Superior Court. If convicted, Daybell faces a life sentence without the possibility of release for at least 25 years.
