In 1877, Alexander Graham Bell installed the world's first commercial telephone service in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This marked a significant milestone in communication technology.


In 1947, American mobster Bugsy Siegel was murdered. He was a key figure in the development of the Las Vegas Strip.


In 1967, Australian actress Nicole Kidman was born. She has become a highly acclaimed and successful actress, known for her work in films like "Moulin Rouge!" and "The Hours."


In 1975, the film "Jaws" was released, directed by Steven Spielberg. It is considered one of the greatest films ever made and is credited with establishing the concept of the summer blockbuster.
