Two NASA astronauts, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, are still stranded at the International Space Station due to technical issues with the Boeing Starliner spacecraft

The latest update on NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams is that they are scheduled to return to Earth in February 2025 on a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft due to persistent technical issues with the Boeing Starliner spacecraft. Boeing's Starliner spacecraft, which transported them to the International Space Station (ISS) on June 5, 2024, for what was supposed to be an eight-day mission, encountered issues including helium leaks and thruster malfunctions. This led NASA and Boeing to decide against returning the astronauts on the Starliner due to safety concerns. Instead, the Starliner will return to Earth uncrewed to further analyze its performance. Wilmore and Williams have been on the ISS for over five months, engaging in research, maintenance, and other duties as part of the station's crew. They have expressed positive attitudes about their extended stay, participating in activities and even planning to vote in upcoming elections from space. 17GEN4.com
